Saskia Brussaard, President / Founder
Saskia believes that public relations is a powerful tool for businesses to tell their story. She also knows that PR, when done right, can help make a difference in the lives of Canadians. As a entrepreneur and small business owner, she understands the need to be smart, strategic, creative, efficient and get real results -- because, well, money doesn't grow on trees!
Saskia has served on the Halton Food Council and has authored a White Paper for Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada about the local food movement. She has been a guest lecturer at Sheridan College's Corporate Communications program and is a member of the program's Professional Advisory Committee.
Over her 20 year career, Saskia has nurtured her relationships with the media, bloggers, and influential tastemakers in the food, nutrition and health arenas. She combines her knowledge of the Canadian media landscape with her all-around busy savvy.
Saskia works closely with media, bloggers, culinary personalities, dietitians, physicians and others, offering her clients access to an impressive network of influencers, key opinion leaders and brand advocates.
Prior to founding Crave PR in 2009, Saskia worked with food, health and nutrition clients at a number of public relations agencies, and on internal, corporate and product communications for a global pharmaceutical company.
In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, shabby-chic decor and DIY renos, and exploring Ontario's natural areas with her family.
